A Social Cause Supporting The Veterans In Need
Swing for the Troops is an organization founded on the principle of giving back to our servicemen and women in need. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity that recognizes the devotion, self-sacrifice, and patriotism of our veterans. Founded by Army veteran and surgeon, Dr. Glen Mesaros M.D., Swing for the Troops raises funds to provide struggling veterans with resources to help with hardships in their lives. Currently, the charity supports the PA Wounded Warriors in its mission of financial assistance to veterans in crisis. We have also developed a college scholarship program for children and grandchildren of veterans to mitigate higher education costs and provide opportunities to excel academically. The charity has a yearly dinner banquet in February at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, PA, a golf tournament in May at the Lebanon Country Club, and a golf tournament at the Longue Vue Club in Verona, PA. We are looking to expand on these activities in the future as the charity grows.
Our Vision
Continued growth and outreach into larger areas and communities to provide support for veterans and their families in need. Charitable endeavors will include educational scholarships and social/emotional support activities for our troops.

About Dr. Mesaros
Glen Mesaros M.D. served in the US Army from 1992 to 2001. His medical training was done at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma Washington, where he stayed on as a staff otolaryngologist for two years. He then transferred to Keller Army Hospital at West Point Military Academy to complete his Army career. Throughout his tenure in the military, Dr. Mesaros was fortunate enough to take care of truly amazing individuals and their families. He forged strong bonds with his patients and listened intently to the many stories of our active duty and veteran population. It was truly his privilege to take care of these dedicated and patriotic men and women. As he left the military and joined the civilian medical community, Dr. Mesaros felt the need to reconnect with the group of people that had so profoundly affected his personal development and core values. The Swing for the Troops Foundation was born. Through our current partnership with the PA Wounded Warriors, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help our veterans and families in need. We look forward to expanding our support with added activities, events, and scholarships.
